Area of Research: Open space in India
Open public space in the urban areas provides a platform for the people to build recognition, accountantship, and social ties. But all of these things are decreasing due to changes in our lifestyle and work culture. Urban open space plays a vital role in filling this gap. In my research, I am trying to understand how the different physical characteristics of open space help to trigger social interaction and social ties.

Area of Research: Optimising Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) and Energy for Lecture Rooms
There is a rising concern about sustainability around the world. The two main components of sustainability for buildings being energy and comfort. The research aims for sustainability driven optimisation for IIT Bombay Campus’ learning centric buildings by simulating scenarios using multi-objective optimisation for minimized energy consumption & maximized indoor comfort using (to name) data analysis and software tools to model & simulate the future energy pathways and scaling it to other institutions.
